The Denver Metro area is comprised of 7 counties: Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, Jefferson. The Mile High City is located on high rolling plains, 12 miles east of the "foothills," a series of gentle mountains that climb to 11,000 feet. You don’t have to travel far to experience a variety of camping, fishing, and hiking options. One of the town’s best features is its proximity to major attractions, including over two hundred parks in Denver County alone.
